As cool autumn temperatures sweep in over summer’s waning heat, I figured it was time to bring out one of my favorite fashion pieces, FUR COATS. I especially love the posh look of a fur coat when it is thrown over a very casual outfit. Not only will one keep you warm, but it will effortlessly complete your outfit which at the end of the day is a win-win, right?
I had been on the hunt for a long, vintage cheetah print coat and as a thrift store enthusiast, I was ecstatic to come across this one at a local Goodwill for only six dollars. This coat reminds me of how my mother used to dress me growing up, as I had an almost identical one with a matching beret, of course. Baby Alexa was quite fashionable, if I do say so myself. Needless to say, my style has not changed significantly and I easily consider this piece one of my top three favorite coats.
For this particular outfit, I paired my coat with a lovely, cranberry silk shirt with a classic feminine cut and 70s nostalgic high waisted wide leg Levi’s – both of which happen to be Goodwill treasures, as well. I, of course, had to top this outfit off with my favorite vintage Gucci purse that I carry just about every day.
Despite the fact that I thrifted most of the pieces in this look, I’ve found similar items that you can purchase if you love it as much as I do. Happy shopping!
